Quentin is has been on the Board since 2015.

He is a 15 year veteran of the GTA, having started out as an international undergrad student at the University of Toronto at Scarborough in 2000. Prior to that it was a whirlwind upbringing involving countries in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

It took 11 moves over his tenure in the GTA, as well as marrying a childhood sweetheart from the Philippines, to finally land in West River at the end of 2014. Quentin and his wife Roxane feel like they have completely lucked out with where they are now - perched in a fantastic neighbourhood that is mere minutes from downtown Oakville.

Quentin earns his living as a sales and marketing professional in the software technology industry, and volunteers in his spare time with several organizations across the GTA. He endeavours to bring energy and ingenuity to the WRRA to help accomplish what the community expects of its board.

Kelly Jo has been a Board member since 2008 and has served as Secretary since 2011.

A West River resident since 2003, she has enjoyed working with the various members of the WRRA Board over the years and participating in our many activities, including being the "popcorn lady" at our Annual Picnic. Kelly Jo has also successfully recruited her daughters and her husband Michael for many neighborhood duties.

Kelly Jo keeps busy at her day job as a Forensic Scientist in the Biology Section at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto, a job she has held for over 17 years.

She and her family ended up in this neighborhood by accident. It wasn't until they moved into the area and started exploring that they discovered their good fortune! Now that they have settled here, Kelly Jo can't imagine living anywhere else.

Vanessa is a lifelong Oakville resident who moved into the community with her husband, Chris in 2013. Their newest addition to the family, Monty, was born in November 2015 and was the fourth generation born at OTMH; he was also one of the final babies delivered prior to the permanent closure of the facility.

Professionally, Vanessa studied at Wilfred Laurier University and now holds an executive role within a multinational real estate investment and development firm with an emphasis on employee relations, recruiting, personal development and team member engagement. Vanessa is widely known for her contagious work ethic and should be a natural fit within the WRRA board and volunteer community.

Kieran joined the Board in 2017.

Originally from Belfast, Ireland, he moved to Canada when he was 11 years old. Kieran just recently moved to West River after being an Oakville resident for the past 15 years and is excited to join the Board of Directors.

Kieran started his career in accounting, however he quickly realized he had a passion for real estate, which is what lead him to move to Oakville. In 2002 he joined the GoodaleMiller Team and has been a key factor to the team's success over the years.

Kieran enjoys spending his evenings walking around the neighbourhood and spending time in his backyard. In the summer you will find Kieran on the dock at his cottage in Muskoka and playing golf at the local golf courses. Kieran looks forward to getting to know members of the community over the coming months.

Peter joined the Board in 2016.

Peter and his wife Polly say they have been fortunate enough to live in the WRRA for the past 7 years. They are both Americans with strong Canadian ties. Polly graduated from the U of T and Peter attended high school at St. Andrews in Aurora. Peter has spent all his summers in cottage country thanks, in part, to a wonderful Canadian grandmother. The couple have four married children and six grandchildren.

After a long career in designing and developing toys, Peter retired from Fisher-Price Toys in Buffalo as their VP of R&D. After retirement, he took one more toy consulting job in Toronto, and then he and Polly decided that Oakville was a great place to stay. Peter continues to invent and license toy and pet products and to spend time painting the great Canadian north country. He looks forward to working with the rest of the WRRA Board and volunteers in continuing their efforts to create a real sense of community in our beautiful West River area.

Derek has been a board member since 2014.

Derek's involvement with the WRRA started in the summer of 2014 when he organized an outdoor movie at Forster Park to fundraise for the Oakville Fareshare Food Bank. The "Movie In The Forest" is now a hugely sucessful annual event the neighbourhood looks forward to every summer.

Derek grew up in Oakville, and attended Linbrook, E.J. James and Oakville Trafalgar High School, before studying photography and web design at Sheridan College. His roots in the neighbourhood go back to the late 90's when he lived with his dad on Queen Mary Drive and Stewart Street.

After finishing school and spending time teaching English in Asia, Derek and his partner Jenn moved back to the West River neighbourhood, where they found an engaged and vibrant community. He spent time working as a photographer for Metroland Media West, and now works as a Digital Designer for The Weather Network in Oakville.

In January 2015, Derek and Jenn welcomed Sadie to their family, and they couldn't think of a better place to raise her. You will often see Derek and his family out and about in the neighbourhood with their chocolate lab Griff. Be sure to stop and say hi!
