The Annual General Meeting of the West River Residents Association will be held on Thursday, October 19 at St. Aidan's Church, 318 Queen Mary Drive.

The church doors will be open at 7:00 p.m. giving you time to pay your membership dues, meet up with your neighbours and get some refreshments. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. For your reference the 2016 AGM minutes are on the www.wwra-oakville.ca website.

Mayor Rob Burton and Councillors Cathy Duddeck and Ray Chisholm will provide updates on local issues including the Glen Abbey golf course, speeding traffic in our neighbourhood and the Town's Character of Neighbourhood Character study. Doug Sams of the Kerr Village BIA will present what's going on in the Kerr Street area. Our community officer, Harjeev Brar will also be in attendance.

There will be a giveaway at the AGM this year. Everyone who attends will have a chance at the end of the meeting to win the WRRA Canada 150 Muskoka chair. You may have seen this chair at our annual picnic or along the Bronte pier this summer.

All of the current Board members are standing for re-election for the upcoming year. They are: Craig Schiller, Paul Jemison, Kelly Jo Walden, Ted Haugen, Elisabeth Hibbert, Roslyn MacLean, Quentin Stossel, Peter Pook, Debbie Soule, Kieran McCourt, Vanessa Dorrington and Derek Woollam.
